Corrective Therapeutic Massage is a mix of slow, deep strokes and penetrating finger pressure focused on tight, contracted areas. It is designed to relieve severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue or fascia. It is recommended for individuals who experience pain, are involved in heavy physical activity, such as athletes, and patients who have sustained physical injury. Corrective Therapeutic Massage requires a solid understanding of the anatomy. Top therapists have technical skill, and are highly sensitive and aware of reactions taking place in the body during the work.

Techniques that are used in Therapeutic Corrective Massage:

Deep tissues: This uses a firmer pressure working into the deeper muscle layers of the body. It affects the sub-layer of musculature and fascia and helps with chronic muscular pain, injury rehabilitation and reduces inflammation-related pain caused by arthritis and tendonitis.

Myofacial Massage: Myofacial tissue surrounds and separates layers of muscle, it is prone to getting tight and restricting the muscles which is the cause of many muscular pains and issues. Myofacial massage is designed to open up these tissues. It uses deep, slow manipulations of the myofascial tissue loading it with a constant force and motion until tissue release occurs. Direct myofascial release seeks for changes in the myofascial structures by stretching, elongation of fascia, or mobilising adhesive tissues. It increases blood flow to the muscles, improves lymphatic drainage, range of motion in joints and reduces pain. It is very effective for injury and post surgery rehab, whether they are newly sustained or years old.

Trigger Point Therpay: Trigger points are small areas of the muscles that have contracted, often refered to as "knots" in the muscles. A static pressure is held over the trigger point which causes the contracted tissues to slowly relax and release.
